“AUTOMATE YOUR BOOKKEEPING WITH QUICKBOOKS”
A Three Part Series
Tuesday Evenings, February 2, 9, & 16, 2009
6:00 – 9:00 pm each evening
Learn how to develop and successfully manage a computerized bookkeeping system in a hands-on four part series using QuickBooks. Session One reviews the basic bookkeeping system requirements and procedures. Session Two reviews the type of information needed to begin setting up your company on QuickBooks and teaches you how to determine opening account balances, and to set up accounts receivable and accounts payable. Session Three teaches you how to perform basic bookkeeping functions including: Sales/Invoicing; Customer Receipts; Paying Bills; Generating Standard Reports; and Bank Reconciliation.
All sessions will be held in a computer lab in the West Wing of the Coastal Georgia Center at 305 Fahm Street, Savannah. Cost $149 for all three sessions. CLICK HERE to register online.

Ms. Vos has more than 14 years experience working with small businesses in Georgia. In addition to providing assistance to small business owners and potential business owners through the Small Business Development Center Network, Ms. Vos has a strong background in accounting (including passing the CPA exam and teaching college level accounting courses). Ms. Vos has been recognized for her outstanding business consulting skills by the Small Business Chamber Inc. (1999 Small Business Champion of the Year Award), the Association of Small Business Development Centers (the Star Performer Award in 1999, the highest award available for outstanding work within an SBDC, and the State Star Award in 2001) and within the Georgia SBDC as the 2000 Business Consultant of the Year. In 2006, the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce awarded her the Helen V. Head Small Business Advocate of the Year.

Connie Edwards has more than 13 years experience in small business consulting, including more than 11 years as a Business Consultant with The Georgia SBDC Network. Her previous experience includes working as a Business Consultant with Auburn University SBDC and teaching Auburn University courses in management science and small business management. Prior to working with the Georgia SBDC Network, Connie was a Technology Representative working in technology transfer and technology development with the Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs. In addition, she has several years of experience in manufacturing as an engineer with Monsanto Company. Ms. Edwards has been recognized for her small business expertise by The Small Business Chamber of Savannah (2002 Small Business Champion of the Year) and by The Georgia SBDC Network (2003 Best Business Sense Article of the Year).
